Delete your Mobi account

Here you can delete your Mobi account and its data without the app. In the app, go to Settings → Delete account.

  1. Enter the email address of your account.
  2. If there is a Mobi account with that address, we email it a 6-digit code.
  3. Enter the code and confirm. The account is deleted after 30 days; until then you can restore it by signing in to the app.

Delete with your email address

The address you sign in with, or the contact email in your profile. If you sign in with Apple and hid your email, delete the account in the app or write to contact@orcar.kr.

What deleting your account does

Right away

  • You are signed out of Mobi on all your devices, and they stop getting notifications from Mobi.
  • If you signed in with Apple, Mobi's access to your Apple ID is revoked.
  • The account is scheduled for deletion 30 days later. Until then you can sign in to the app again and choose Restore account to keep it, or Delete now and start over to delete it at once.

After 30 days

The account is erased. We delete:

  • your name and phone number;
  • your email addresses: the one you sign in with and your contact email;
  • your sign-ins with email, Apple and Google;
  • your devices and their notification (push) tokens;
  • the photos, videos and files you sent.

The businesses you talked to keep their conversations with you, but your name in them becomes "Deleted user" and your email address and phone number are gone. The text of the messages you sent stays in those conversations.

What we keep

  • A record that the account existed, with none of the details above: an internal ID, the app language, when the account was created, when its deletion was requested and when it was erased, the versions of the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy it accepted, and which businesses it had added or blocked. It keeps the businesses' conversations in order and shows what happened to the account. It is not deleted later.
  • Reports you made about messages from a business, with the part of the conversation they were about, so that we can deal with abuse. They are not deleted later.
  • Records of the notifications, emails and text messages we sent you, for up to 30 days after they were sent.
  • Copies in our database backups, until those backups expire seven days later.

What a business keeps about you outside Mobi, such as your booking, is up to that business.
